Who We Are

Meet Stephanie

Hi there. As the founder of Essentially Newborn, for years I’ve loved supporting families in a variety of roles, assisting parents in growing and keeping a smooth functioning home and helping their children reach countless developmental milestones.

Now, working primarily with newborns and new and returning parent like yourselves, I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this momentous occasion, and passionate about helping you in the way that fits your family’s needs. Big changes can present big challenges, and sometimes even unforeseen obstacles presented during pregnancy or even at birth.  But let’s be honest, adding an additional person or persons to your family unit is already a huge change in itself, bringing along its own unique challenges.  At times it can be scary thinking about whether you will be able to best to determine your newborn’s immediate needs, or even fulfill his constantly changing developmental needs as well.

If you have given birth to multiples, preemies, baby(ies) with serious or complex medical conditions, or you yourself have gone through your own medical complications during the birth of your newborn, rest assured I’ve had experience caring for these situations and more. I have even been right where you are, which is what brought me to you.

My work is my passion and it would honestly and sincerely be a privilege to support you during this time. Whether guiding you through different aspects of the newborn care process before or after birth, helping you setup a developmental-friendly environment for baby following AAP standards, caring for your infant while you sleep and encouraging him with good sleep habits, assisting with meal-prep, accompanying to doctor appointments, or even just lending an extra hand with some household duties that may seem a bit overwhelming for you at this time or a listening ear.

My job is to be your guide and support during this transition process, and my goal is to leave a healthy, happy, well-rested family and an empowered and confident parent in your role & journey as a family.

5-MINUTE INTERVIEW

What are you most passionate about?

I’m passionate about learning so I can better meet the needs of those who seek my guidance and support.  And about making sure that the families I help are left feeling healthy and empowered, refreshed from my support.  I know what it’s like to be in their shoes somewhat, the not knowing, and they need to know, to believe, they are going to be FABULOUS, they ARE fabulous, already, to that amazing little being they brought home with them.

What makes you laugh?

Everything, mostly my cousins and nephews, even just thinking about them. My little cousins are hilarious though, the girls are so much fun to have around.  I have to be honest, they do pretty great impressions of me, that I just can’t help but laugh.

I interviewed many before hiring Stephanie. I hired her because of her previous experience with all ages, extensive training, child development knowledge, caring demeanor, and personality, seeing her with my children first hand. I am also very confident in Stephanie’s ability to care for babies, newborns - toddlers. She maintains a safe environment and never leaves a baby unattended. She comforts my 1-year-old son to help him take naps and checks on him regularly while napping. She is responsive to his cries and interacts with him. She helped my son’s vocabulary and communication by always talking to him and also teaching him sign-language. Stephanie is extremely reliable and a great communicator. Her dedication to the position and our family has been wonderful. Suffice it to say we have been most impressed with Stephanie and hope to have her continue to work with our family.
